Physician Assistant-Surgery | Permanent Role
- Location: Plano, TX, 75093
- Shift: Full-Time Days | 08:00 AM 05:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive or focused physical exams and medical histories to assess physical and mental health.
- Monitor patient progress throughout the care continuum and develop strategies to reduce hospital admissions or shorten hospital stays.
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient health.
- Prescribe and manage drug therapies or perform indicated medical procedures in alignment with training and institutional policies.
- Recommend behavior modification strategies and therapeutic interventions.
- Create and implement comprehensive, evidence-based, outcomes-focused treatment plans in coordination with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
- Provide counseling to patients and families on medical conditions, procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
- Educate patients on potential drug interactions, including OTC, supplements, and herbal remedies.

- Capable of delivering patient education on complex medical topics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Open to new graduates (less than 1 year of experience).
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Texas PA license (required).
- BLS certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- NCCPA Certification (required).
