Physician Assistant – Surgery | Permanent Role

• Conduct comprehensive or focused physical exams and medical histories to assess physical and mental health.
• Monitor patient progress throughout the care continuum and develop strategies to reduce hospital admissions or shorten hospital stays.
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient health.
• Prescribe and manage drug therapies or perform indicated medical procedures in alignment with training and institutional policies.
• Recommend behavior modification strategies and therapeutic interventions.
• Create and implement comprehensive, evidence-based, outcomes-focused treatment plans in coordination with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
• Provide counseling to patients and families on medical conditions, procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
• Educate patients on potential drug interactions, including OTC, supplements, and herbal remedies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience: Open to new graduates (less than 1 year of experience).

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current Texas PA license (required).
• BLS certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
• NCCPA Certification (required).
