Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will play a crucial role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical attention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement discharge plans for patients transitioning from acute care settings to home or other facilities.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide care in various specialties, including pediatrics, critical care, and hospital medicine as required.
- Participate in patient education initiatives to promote health awareness and disease prevention.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing immediate care and support as needed.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant with a valid state license to practice medicine.
- Experience in outpatient settings, nursing homes, or emergency room environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of vital sign monitoring techniques.
- Strong knowledge of discharge planning processes and acute care management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to handle critical care situations effectively while maintaining composure under pressure.
