Job SummaryID Squad is a rapidly growing, physician-led Infectious Disease group located in Frisco, TX. We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is a full-time, in-person role with the opportunity to provide care across hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care (LTAC) centers, and rehabilitation centers.
You will work alongside infectious disease physicians and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Local travel between Frisco, Plano, and McKinney is required.
Work Location: On-site (with local travel to affiliated facilities)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage infectious disease cases in skilled nursing, rehab, and LTAC facilities
- Assist physicians with inpatient consultations in hospitals as needed
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
- Document all care accurately in the EMR system
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for ID care
- Participate in monthly weekend coverage (1 in every 4 weekends)
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and medical teams
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active PA license in Texas (required)
- DEA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and travel between care sites
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- EMR proficiency (eClinicalWorks, EPIC, pMD preferred)
