Full Job Description

Site: Mass General Brigham Medical Group Western Massachusetts, Inc.

Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.

The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Cooley Dickinson Urgent Care team in Northampton! Our centers serve as a convenient and affordable urgent care option with no appointment necessary for those living and working in the Greater Pioneer Valley area. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 18 months and up) with skill, compassion, and efficiency. From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of non-life-threatening minor illnesses and injuries in clean, modern centers. Onsite radiology and lab/blood draw services are also available. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters. Schedule and Locations: Our APPs are required to work two weekend shifts per month and must be willing to rotate between all four of our Urgent Care centers when staffing needs require. The primary location for this position is 30 Locust St in Northampton, and the other urgent care centers are located in Southampton, Amherst and Greenfield, MA.
