About the Role

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health Network, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) based in Danbury, Connecticut. This role is primarily outpatient and follows a Monday through Friday schedule. There are no evening, weekend, or call requirements.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Previous Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Active State of Connecticut license, Federal DEA registration, and CT Controlled Substance Registration required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical specialists, and the palliative care team to implement care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, patient and family education, and clinical documentation
  • Support research efforts and contribute to continuous quality improvement within the cancer center

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $105,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

About the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital

  • Long-established and busy cancer center located on the Danbury Hospital campus
  • Multidisciplinary care including Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Genetics, Radiation Therapy, and Clinical Trials
  • Team of 7 physicians and 4 Advanced Practitioners
  • Danbury Hospital is a 371-bed community teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, and Yale School of Medicine
