About the Practice:We are a well-established, physician-led cosmetic surgery practice operating within a state-licensed ambulatory surgery center. Our focus is on providing high-quality aesthetic procedures in a safe, comfortable, and patient-centered environment. Procedures commonly performed include facelifts, body contouring, breast surgeries, and injectables.
Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and personable Physician Assistant (PA) to work closely with our board-certified cosmetic surgeon. The ideal candidate will assist in pre- and post-operative care, perform non-surgical treatments, and assist in surgical procedures. This is a dynamic role ideal for a motivated PA with a passion for aesthetic medicine and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative consultations and medical clearances
- Assist the surgeon during cosmetic procedures in the operating room
- Perform patient assessments and post-operative follow-up visits
- Provide wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes
- Administer non-surgical aesthetic treatments (e.g., Botox, fillers, laser treatments – if trained and credentialed)
- Document all patient interactions in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Educate patients on procedures, expectations, and post-care instructions
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and ambulatory surgical center standards
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in [State]
- NCCPA certification
- Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a strong aesthetic eye
- Experience in outpatient/ambulatory surgical settings a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- BLS and ACLS certification
