Position Overview:

A Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP ) at our non-profit organization specializes in Family Medicine and/or Primary Care, providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Working under the supervision of a licensed physician, the PA/NP delivers comprehensive medical care, focusing on preventive health, acute and chronic disease management, and patient education to enhance overall community well-being. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Your work will be integral to our mission of fostering community well-being and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams and obtain detailed patient histories with a focus on Family Medicine and Primary Care.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, emphasizing preventive care and continuity of care.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and counsel patients on medication adherence and lifestyle changes.
  • Perform medical procedures and assist in minor surgeries as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, community health workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and patient-centered care.
  • Engage in community outreach and health promotion activities, including health screenings and educational workshops.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure to practice as a PA.
  • Specialized training or experience in Family Medicine and/or Primary Care.
  • Dedication to serving diverse and underserved populations.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural competency skills.
  • Flexibility to work in various healthcare settings, including community clinics and outreach programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $112,165.38 – $135,080.89 per year
