Full Job Description

  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries (e.g., flu, fractures, lacerations, infections).

  • Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Administer treatments, prescribe medications, and perform procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision and drainage).

  • Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Current state licensure and certification as a PA-C (NCCPA certified).

  • BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification (preferred or required depending on facility).

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar setting (preferred).

  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
