Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) – Bioidentical Hormone Therapy & Wellness
Location: Stamford, CT
Practice: Dr. Chang Soo Kim, Plastic Surgery & Wellness Practice
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our upscale plastic surgery and wellness practice. This role is primarily focused on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for both women and men. This role is ideal for a provider with a strong foundation in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and a passion for aesthetic medicine and integrative care.
While our practice also offers aesthetic services, these aspects are secondary to hormone therapy for those seeking this position. Dr. Kim may provide training in these areas for candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to BHRT and the practice.
This role is part-time, 1–2 days per week. Compensation is competitive and includes a base hourly rate plus a percentage of revenue from services.
Responsibilities
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history, lifestyle, symptoms, and hormone-related concerns
- Order, interpret, and monitor lab tests (salivary and serum panels)
- Develop and adjust personalized hormone treatment plans using bioidentical hormones (e.g., pellets, creams, troches, injections)
- Educate patients in clear, understandable terms about hormone function, therapy options, risks, and benefits
- Track symptom improvement and lab trends to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up in EMR system
Aesthetic Services (Botox, Fillers, Lasers)
Experience in this area is not required. Training is available to those who have a strong foundation in BHRT.
- Perform or assist with non-surgical aesthetic treatments, including: Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), Dermal fillers (cheeks, lips, jawline, etc.), and Energy-based treatments (laser resurfacing, BBL photofacials, Contoura, Morpheus8, etc.)
- Provide consults, treatment planning, and education
- Educate patients on pre/post-treatment expectations and product benefits
IV Micronutrient Therapy
- Administer or oversee IV nutrient therapy according to established protocols
- Assess patient eligibility and ensure safety prior to treatment
- Educate patients on the benefits and uses of IV therapy (e.g., energy, immunity, longevity, hydration, recovery)
- Monitor for adverse reactions and document all treatments accurately
Qualifications
- Active NP or PA license in Connecticut with full prescriptive authority
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in hormone therapy, functional medicine, or women’s health
- Comfort managing both male and female hormone concerns, including menopause, andropause, thyroid imbalances, etc.
- Ability to explain hormone pathways and therapy options in plain language
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently
- Proficient with EMR systems and lab interpretation
Preferred
- Certification or training in functional or integrative medicine (e.g., A4M, IFM)
- Prior experience in a plastic surgery, medspa, or concierge wellness practice
- Collaborative approach — works well with MDs, RNs, and front office staff
- Comfortable integrating with a plastic surgery or wellness clinic setting
- Willingness to participate in marketing events, social media, or patient seminars
