Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, No Call/Weekends)
Reports To: Supervising Endocrinologist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic endocrinology team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with a range of endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and more. This is a collaborative role, working closely with endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and review lab results related to endocrine health
- Diagnose and manage common endocrine disorders, particularly diabetes and thyroid disease
- Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
- Prescribe and manage medications including insulin therapy and hormone replacement
- Coordinate patient care including follow-ups, diagnostic testing, and specialist referrals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient care and clinical knowledge
Qualifications:
- Current PA-C certification and state licensure in [State]
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in [State]
- Prior experience in endocrinology or internal medicine preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
