Facility: 55 Whitcher Street
Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)—to join our growing Structural Heart Program.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and coordination for patients undergoing structural heart evaluation, intervention, and follow-up.

Participate in multidisciplinary structural heart team meetings and patient case conferences.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exam, and diagnostic evaluation.

Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and other team members.

Manage pre- and post-procedural care, including inpatient rounding and outpatient follow-ups.

Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-procedural care.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (Epic).

Assist with quality initiatives and data collection for structural heart program metrics and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications:
-
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia.

National certification as an NP (AGACNP or FNP with acute care experience) or PA-C.

2+ years of cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or interventional cardiology experience preferred; structural heart experience is a strong plus.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills.

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Attributes:

Experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and structural heart imaging workflows.

Proficiency in EPIC EMR.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
