Englewood Orthopedic Associates is looking for a licensed physician assistant.
About the Role:
The Physician Assistant (PA) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services across various medical settings, including Orthopedic, Orthopedic Surgery and other Sub-Specialties. This position involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive care tailored to their needs. The PA will be responsible for performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. Additionally, patient education is a key component, as the PA will guide patients and their families in understanding their health conditions and treatment options. Ultimately, the PA’s goal is to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Full- Time position
- Independently examine patients
- Assist Physicians in the operating room
- On-Call coverage two days a month and one weekend a month
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as bone x-rays or MRI’s/ CT scans
- Suture removal
- Acting as a liaison between physicians and patients
- Must be licensed in NJ
