Full Job Description

Agave is seeking to add a full-time Physician Assistant (preferably), or Nurse Practitioner depending on experience, who is Licensed in Arizona, to our Private Physician-owned Primary Care Practice. The ideal Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner would be dedicated to high-quality and personalized care with a passion for Primary Care. Candidates are expected to submit a cover letter along with resume/CV and educational history.

Responsibilities include patient education regarding preventative medicine, order and present diagnostic tests and results, and co-manage patients’ overall care, under the supervision of Medical Director. Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:

· Provide excellent and appropriate care to patients; to include examination, diagnosis, development and education on treatment plan.

· Order and interpret diagnostic tests

· Passionately counsel patients about their medical condition, and their evidence-based treatment options.

· Appropriately prescribe medication in accordance with standard of care guidelines

· Educate patients regarding evidence-based medicine for preventive care and disease management

· Thoroughly document visit notes in an accurate and timely manner for physician collaboration

This career opportunity is in the beautiful community of Casas Adobes (NW Tucson) of Arizona. Our current location is adjacent to Northwest Medical Center, but we are looking to expand into other areas of Tucson. Candidates who are interested in this opportunity can expect the following benefits:

Requirements and skills:

  • DEA Certification
  • Three professional references, including at least one from a prior collaborating physicians
  • Training in family or pediatric medicine (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1-year hands on clinical experience
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with ability to utilize an EHR, Escribe functions, and Zoom Telehealth
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to demonstrate some basic knowledge of coding visits and timely chart completion

License/Certification:

  • Current Arizona licensed PA or NP.
