Job Summary:
The Dermatology Physician Assistant works alongside our team of dermatologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with skin conditions. The Dermatology Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as educating them on proper skin care and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as biopsies and blood work.
– Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with skin conditions, including prescribing medications and performing procedures such as biopsies and excisions.
– Educate patients on proper skin care, sun protection, and disease prevention.
– Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain quality control standards.
– Attend conferences and continuing education courses to stay current on developments in dermatology.
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in physician assistant studies or a related field.
– Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
– Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in dermatology or a related field.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
– Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology procedures.
– Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,333.00 – $115,479.00 per year
