Full Job Description
Palm Beach Wellness Center is a small well established Weight Loss and Wellness center that also does Discrete Outpatient Opiate Addiction services. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to see patients Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9AM-2PM and Thursdays from 12PM – 5PM. Previous experience prescribing Buprenorphine is a plus but not necessary.
Duties Include:Seeing New Weight Loss PatientsSeeing and Evaluating New Hormone Therapy PatientsSeeing New Outpatient Opiate Addiction Patients using Buprenorpine/NaloxoneSeeing Follow up patients.
Schedule:Monday, Wednesday, Friday’s 9AM-2PM or later depending on appointmentsThursday’s 12PM-5PM or later depending on appointments
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
Skills
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner or PA in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
- Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Patience and cool-headedness
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Valid nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Master’s degree; PhD is a plus
