Nurse Practitioner Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality patient care, conducting physical examinations, and managing various medical conditions. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services in settings such as urgent care, medical offices, and teaching hospitals.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients’ health status.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Provide emergency medicine care as needed.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Manage workers’ compensation cases, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to improve patient quality of life.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the relevant specialty area.
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation law and its application in clinical practice.
- Ability to lift patients as necessary during examinations or procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital or similar setting is advantageous.
Inpatient NICU NP or PA
UP to date CDS and DEA required
MA license required
BC required
NICU certified required
Need someone experienced
Would prefer a local candidate but open to others
Level 3 Trauma experience
Shifts: –all shifts need coverage–
–DAY – 7:30A – 7:30P; 7:30P – 7:30A
–NIGHT – 4:30P – 7:30P
