Urgently Hiring PRN Physician Assistants
About Us: Our clinicians offer a full scope of urgent care services and see patients of all age groups. Our clinics are outcome focused and provide medical care on an urgent or appointment basis for urgent care and occupational injuries and illnesses. We are open 7 days/week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment. Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence Based Medicine standards
- Manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a continuous patient flow and avoiding long wait times.
- Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests; and interpret test results.
- Perform minor outpatient surgical procedures such as wound closure and management, incision and drainage, foreign body removal.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens. Communicates with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.
- Review and manage daily tasks, patient callbacks, lab results while on shift.
Qualifications:
- Valid California PA license (required)
- DEA license (required)
- DOT certification (preferred)
- BLS (required)
- Have a positive attitude/outlook and be a collaborative team player
- Excellent bedside manner, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Urgent care or emergency medicine experience desired but not required
- Occupational Medicine/Workers comp experience preferred
- Willing to occasionally be on-call (there is additional on-call pay)
Base Pay: $65 – $80/hour commensurate with experience.
