We are hiring local and traveling Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to conduct in-person medical and disability evaluations for veterans. Your role will be vital in helping veterans receive the compensation they deserve for their service-connected conditions.
All travel accommodations and transportation are fully covered for mobile assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough medical and disability evaluations of veterans, focusing on their service-connected conditions.
- Travel extensively to various locations nationwide to conduct in-person evaluations at clinics and other designated sites.
- Prepare detailed and accurate medical reports based on your evaluations, adhering to VA guidelines and standards.
- Engage with veterans respectfully and empathetically, ensuring they feel supported throughout the evaluation process.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive evaluations and accurate reporting.
- Stay updated on VA compensation evaluation protocols and medical advancements.
Qualifications:
- 0-5 years experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Must be a licensed and certified Physician Assistant with experience in medical evaluations, ideally with a focus on disability assessments.
- Understanding veteran health issues, service-related disabilities, and VA compensation processes is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, often for multiple days or weeks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and effectively interact with veterans from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage travel schedules, evaluation appointments, and thorough documentation.
- Ability to produce precise and accurate medical reports that adhere to VA standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $800.00 – $1,300.00 per day
