About the Role
This position will play a valued and respected role in our practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive primary and acute care to our patients.
- Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
- Developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans.
- Performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
- Coordinating patient care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Providing patient education and counseling on preventive care and disease management.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in our EMR system.
- Leading and mentoring medical assistants, RNs, and other clinical support staff.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring the patient experience reflects the high-end nature of our practice.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: At least three (3) years of experience working as a PA or APRN in an urgent care or primary care setting.
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification: Valid Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Connecticut, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Attitude: Positive, self-motivated, confident, engaging, empathetic, and team-oriented.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (Athena is preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or potential.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
