Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current PA license in the state of Kentucky

  • Current DEA certification

  • 2+ years of clinical experience (preferred)

  • Commitment to continued medical education and maintenance of licensure

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with EMRs and comfort using clinical technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience, ideally in a community health or primary care setting

  • Bilingual

  • Experience working in integrated care teams and/or FQHCs

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive preventive and primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. You will serve as both a clinical leader and active participant in team-based care delivery, helping BCHC improve health outcomes across our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including history taking, exams, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up

  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan

  • Deliver care aligned with PCMH principles, focusing on prevention and wellness

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and make appropriate referrals

  • Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and accurately code encounters

  • Lead daily care team huddles and support other clinical staff through mentorship and collaboration

  • Refer and coordinate care with specialists and support services

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development

  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate care in support of BCHC’s mission

  • Participate in on-call rotation (typically 1 week at a time, shared equally among providers)
