PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
HEART & VASCULAR ASSOCIATES OF AUGUSTA, PC is a private cardiology practice based in Augusta, Georgia and an affiliated clinic with Piedmont Augusta Hospital. Our facility is located at 820 St. Sebastian Way, Suite 2-A. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Physician Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity as one of the cardiologists is retiring. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for supporting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, conducting patient assessments, managing patient care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Daily tasks include examining patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients on health management and preventive care. Echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear stress testing and holter monitoring are all done in our office.
Qualifications
- Knowledge in cardiovascular care and clinical patient management
- Assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Ability to interpret and manage diagnostic tests and results
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems, in particular, EPIC
- Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia
- BLS/ACLS certification
