Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team at Primary Walk In Medical Center in East Providence RI. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This position requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Assist in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical standards.
• Participate in critical care procedures as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical settings.
• Experience or training in acute care settings is preferred; critical care experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in performing medical procedures such as suturing, dermabrasion, and airway management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements.

Pay: $80/hr on weekdays and $100/hr on weekends. – Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, plus one weekend a month. You’ll otherwise have Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays off. – Hours & Salary: About 32 hours/week on weekdays, which comes to $133,171.20 a year. Plus, around 12 hours/month on weekends (only required to do one weekend a month) , adding $14,400 a year. Total base salary: $147,571.20 annually (also two weeks paid vacation and full dental/health benefits via BCBSRI). If looking to earn more, we can add extra primary care days—optional.

Pay: $130,000.00 – $147,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
