Otolaryngology Associates, P.C., a large subspecialty practice in Northern Virginia area is seeking a motivated and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our busy Ear, Nose and Throat practice. The candidate will join our next day appointment team, which consists of ENT specialty trained providers. The candidate will work with and learn from an interdisciplinary ENT team to develop the skill set needed to provide high level specialist ENT care and will include hands on training to learn and perform common ENT in-office procedures. The candidate will see patients of all ages with a focus on pediatric patients, including infants. The candidate will work in an outpatient clinic offering walk-in and urgent appointments including during evening and weekends. Current licensure in Virginia and board certification is required along with BLS certification.
Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality specialist care for patients of all ages presenting with a variety of acute and chronic ENT conditions
2. Perform common ENT specialty procedures (e.g. binocular microscopy, Otoendoscopy, nasal endoscopy, and flexible laryngoscopy).
3. Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (such as labs, x-rays), and formulate differential diagnoses.
4. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education on preventive care and health management.
5. Perform minor in-office procedures such as suturing, wound care and abscess drainage. Additional opportunities, including assisting in surgery may be available for qualified candidates.
6. Work collaboratively with physicians, other nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff to ensure timely and cutting-edge patient care.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
8. Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and serve as a clinical expert on ENT related conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
