NY Orthopedics is a private minimally invasive spine surgery group seeking an NY/NJ-based PA who excels in the clinical setting. About The Practice:

This team of an orthopedic surgeon, 1 NP and 1 PA is located in New York and New Jersey and has more than 20 years of practice experience in the field.

Practice calls will be shared amongst the providers in the group, but rarely will your time be required outside of Monday-Friday hours, via phone calls. THERE WILL BE NO IN – PERSON CALLS REQUIRED.

Must be able to reliably commute to Clifton NJ, New Brunswick NJ, West Orange NJ, Kew Gardens NY, Manhattan NY

Responsibilities

Consultations – takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations

Pre-op assessments/post-op assessments

Writes orders for medications/diagnostic testing and reviews diagnostic testing and lab results

Advanced providers in the practice perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with orthopedic disorders. They examine patients, interpret advanced studies (MRI, X-ray, CT, and EMG testing), formulate diagnoses, and implement treatment plans for patients presenting with orthopedic illness or injury.

Major responsibilities: Surgical first assist, consultations, Pre- and Post-operative patient visits with planning for surgery, close coordination with the surgeon, direct communication with patients, and medication management. The team rotates responsibility for occasional calls from immediate post-operative patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

8–10-hour shifts

Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDS

License: NY NJ (Required)

While you will learn to manage most musculoskeletal disorders, your primary focus will be clinical treatment of patients with spinal pathology. You will collaborate with surgeons, advanced-level providers, and staff to deliver high-quality care.

Every step of care is supervised by our advanced providers, including clinical work-up and diagnosis, office-based procedures, preparation for surgery, surgical assist and hospital management (optional), post-operative office-based management, etc.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
