Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) team at a reputable medical center in Brooklyn. In this fast-paced and collaborative environment, the PA will work alongside critical care physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide advanced, high-acuity care to post-operative and critically ill patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily patient rounds, assessments, and clinical evaluations
- Assist in the management of critically ill surgical patients, including trauma and post-operative cases
- Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice (e.g., central lines, arterial lines, intubations, etc.)
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Participate in treatment planning, documentation, and communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in rapid response and code situations
- Provide handoff and transition-of-care communication during shift changes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NYS Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA Certification
- BLS and ACLS Certification (required)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in surgical ICU, critical care, or emergency medicine preferred
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Pay: $150,462.00 – $170,000.00 per year
