Full Job Description
Grandview Family Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work directly with our Physicians and other health care professionals to provide optimal patient care through effective clinical practices. Grandview Family Medicine takes care of the whole family including pediatrics and adult medicine. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work within the standards of care and the scope of practice as defined by the State of Utah and the medical director of Grandview Family Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient history, assessment, and diagnosis. Record the patient’s information and medical symptoms in an EHR.
- Order tests and exams to obtain additional information needed to ensure proper care of the patient.
- Interpret patient care tests and exams to obtain needed information to guide care.
- Provide for the treatment of the patient including appropriate prescriptive practices to achieve optimal clinical outcomes for the patient.
- Refer patients to other specialists and physicians for follow-up appropriate care.
- Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures as defined by scope of the practice.
- Code and bill accurately per established protocol and procedure. Ensure that records are detailed and complete, and comply with related standards and regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Accredited Physician Assistant School
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
