Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. This role requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform various clinical procedures. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories to determine health status.
  • Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Administer injections and IV infusions as required for patient treatment.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures including suturing and dermabrasion.
  • Catheterize patients when necessary, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians in developing and implementing patient care plans.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in research initiatives to enhance clinical practices and patient outcomes.
  • Manage care for patients in a Level II Trauma Center setting, demonstrating expertise in hospital medicine.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.

Requirements

  • Valid Physician Assistant license or certification from an accredited program.
  • Experience in primary care or hospital medicine preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and administering injections.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical evaluation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
  • Experience or interest in research is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $120,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
