Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our behavioral health team. The successful candidate will work in an outpatient clinic setting and with patients participating in Linden Oaks’ PHP and IOP programs. The PA will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to individuals experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
Qualifications:
- Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health is preferred but new grads will be considered
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment and treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
