St. Ambrose University is seeking a dedicated and organized Clinical Placement Coordinator to join our Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience in managing clinical placements, fostering relationships with healthcare organizations, and supporting students in their clinical education.
As the Clinical Placement Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, administering, and managing clinical placements for students in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. You will work closely with healthcare facilities, academic staff, and students to ensure a smooth placement process and help students gain the necessary hands-on experience in their field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professionally represent St. Ambrose University and the Physician Assistant program to the public and the university community.
- Provide support to the PA Program Director and faculty.
- Provide support and guidance to students regarding placement opportunities, expectations, and any issues that arise during their clinical experience.
- Monitor and track student progress during placements, and provide regular feedback to academic staff.
- Manage and maintain placement databases and records, ensuring that data is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in the development and delivery of orientation programs for students and clinical placement providers.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
- Create professional-use marketing materials for department use, as well as update and maintain documents housed on the program website.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with students, faculty, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience with medical terminology, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
