Physician Assistant – Infectious Disease
Qualifications:
- NYS licensed/registered and NCCPA certified (or eligible) Physician Assistant.
- Must have NPI number and be Medicare enrolled or eligible within six months of hire.
- CPR and BLS Certification required.
- Experience in infectious disease or internal medicine preferred.
Duties:
- Evaluates and treats patients with complex infectious diseases.
- Orders and interprets microbiology labs, blood cultures, and diagnostic imaging.
- Develops treatment plans for antibiotic therapy and infection control.
- Works with infection prevention teams and epidemiologists.
- Manages inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultations.
