Full Job Description

A well-established cardiology practice is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology or related fields, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms as needed.
  • Monitor and manage patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiology and engage in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (for NP candidates).
  • Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for NPs.
  • Previous experience in cardiology or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $132,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
