OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in mental health to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health care and be committed to providing high-quality patient-centered services. This role involves working in various settings to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health disorders.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Provide medication management and psychotherapy, and monitor patient responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in psychiatric care.
Qualifications for PMHNP-C
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
- Current state licensure in Texas and New Mexico as a Nurse Practitioner, in good standing, with certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience in all care settings, including clinic – outpatient, inpatient or urgent care environments, is preferred.
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of coding practices relevant to mental health services is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
Qualifications for PA-C
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPA) or Master of Science in Physican Assistant Studies (MS-PA).
- Current state licensure in Texas and New Mexico as a Physician Assistant, in good standing, with certification in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Experience in all care settings, including clinic – outpatient, inpatient or urgent care environments, is preferred.
