We are seeking an Urgent Care NP/PA for Anchorage. We offer flexible work schedules to improve work life balance.

Essential Functions of a Family Practice Provider:

• Provides urgent care medical services for patients, including the evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, labs) to guide treatment decisions.
• Performs minor medical procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care within the provider’s scope of practice.
• Prescribes medication, therapy, and other specialized medical treatments as appropriate.
• Assesses patients for referral to emergency care, specialty care, or follow-up with a primary care provider as needed.
• Communicates effectively with patients and their families to ensure they understand their diagnosis treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• ·Educates and encourages patients to engage in their own healthcare decisions when appropriate.
• Documents patient encounters within the electronic medical record system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborates with other clinical team members, including physicians, NPs, PAs, RNs, and medical assistants, to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Delegates direct and indirect patient care activities to appropriate personnel.
• All providers are expected to become DOT certified within 3 months of their hire date.

Qualifications:

• Licensed NP, PA, or Physician (MD/DO) with experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care with acute care experience.
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills in an urgent care or fast-paced clinical setting.
• Ability to manage a diverse range of medical conditions efficiently.
• DOT certification required within 3 months of hire.
