Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Cardiovascular Health and be comfortable managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. This role involves direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of cardiovascular diseases in collaboration with our cardiologists.
This is a full time position with flexible hours. The candidate will be expected to work 3-5 days per week seeing approximately 25 patients with compensation ranging from $100,000- $160,000 annually based on your desired caseload. Some weekends as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient history and physical exams
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab work
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
- Provide patient education on heart health, disease prevention, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Monitor and manage patients with hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac conditions
- Perform follow-up visits and manage chronic disease care
- Assist with hospital rounds and inpatient consultations as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Qualifications:
- Board Certification (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
- Valid state license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Current ACLS Certificate
- Current BLS Certificate
