Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct medical histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, and prescribe medications as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
1. Conduct comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations on patients.
2. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
3. Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments as needed.
4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
5. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Education and Prevention
1. Educate patients and families on healthy habits, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
2. Provide guidance on medication management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaboration and Communication
1. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care.
Administrative Tasks
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
2. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review.
3. Stay current with medical research, guidelines, and best practices.
Requirements
Education and Certification
1. Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or related field.
2. Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
3. Licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
Experience
1. Minimum 4-5 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
2. Experience in primary care, specialty care, or acute care settings.
Skills
1. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical principles.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
4. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
