As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will work to support the mission of the organization by delivering excellent patient-centered care. This role focuses on providing behavioral health care, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and psychoeducation, all under the direction of the supervising psychiatrists. Additionally, you will play an integral part in team development through assessing training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnostic assessment, medication management, medication-assisted treatments, psychoeducation, and follow-up care to patients under the supervision of psychiatrists.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and address patients’ clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Participate in the credentialing process with managed care organizations by providing necessary personal and professional information.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Participate in case conferences and departmental/agency meetings, as required.
- Enhance patient experience by ensuring courteous, helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy.
- Complete patient medical records in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Care Teams to improve overall patient health outcomes.
- Maintain a professional and positive environment for patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s degree with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nursing license (for Nurse Practitioners) or a valid Physician Assistant license (for Physician Assistants) in California.
- Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (for Nurse Practitioners).
- Psychiatric Certified Added Qualifications (CAQ) preferred for Physician Assistants.
- Valid DEA license.
- BLS certification from an approved provider required upon hire.
- Completion of advanced pharmacology coursework, including Class II controlled substances.

Additional Notes:
- Accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner programs must be completed in-person (online programs are not acceptable).
- Proficiency in Spanish is required for this position.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing, and proofreading.
- Ability to interpret various forms of instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule).
- Knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information professionally and ethically.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Salary Range: $143,438 – $172,643 annually, depending on experience.
