Full Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mid-level provider to join our busy infectious disease practice in the hospital working weekends, holidays plus 60 weekdays per year. This position provides patient care in the hospital, including patient assessment, review of systems, history and physical, evaluating and ordering diagnostic testing, considering and prescribing appropriate medications, and recommending follow-up care and subsequent visits. Reviews results from patient tests and lab, responds to critical values in an urgent fashion, communicates results to patients and physicians, and orders follow-up testing as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations.

– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.

– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our team of physicians.

– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

– Provide patient education and counseling on infectious disease prevention and management.

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical record documentation in the hospital EMR.

Schedule:

– Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays

– 60 weekdays per year, days assigned monthly

– Opportunity for additional hours if desired.

Qualifications:

– Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing.

– Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in infectious disease or hospital medicine.

– Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

– Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
