Physician’s Assistant needed for a busy orthopedics and sports medicine practice.
Duties will include:1. Seeing patients in the clinic.2. Performing therapeutic and minor surgical procedures, such as injections, suture, and staple removal.3. Assisting in various orthopedic procedures in the operating room including fracture care, arthroscopy and joint replacement.4. Instructing and counseling patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic treatments.5. Obtaining and reviewing patient histories6. Performing physical exams and recording physical findings in patient’s electronic chart to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis and clinical treatment plans7. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, i.e., x-rays, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests;
Requirements:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
– California Licensed Physician Assistant-Certified degree
– Excellent bedside-manner
– Excellent communication skills
– Strong experience with an Electronic Medical Record system
– Strong experience with software such as MS Word and Dragon-speak
– Ability to work independent as well as with a team
– Prior experience in private or small group practices
– Ability to treat a high volume of patients
– Accredited from Physician’s Assistant program
– Current California license
– Current DEA license
No previous experience is needed. Training will be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
