Job Summary: Trauma Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
We are seeking an experienced Trauma NP or PA to join our team, providing high-quality care at both Southfield Providence Hospital and Novi Providence Hospital.
Position Details:
- Shift Schedule: 3, 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 AM – 630 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Approximately every other weekend
- Night Coverage: Rotation to nights of 3-4 shifts per week schedule block.
- Autonomy: As the sole provider during night shifts, you’ll work independently with opportunities for bedside procedures
- Limited OR Time: Very minimal OR time due to the requirement for the APP to remain available for incoming traumas
Preferred Qualifications:
- ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification
- At least 2 years of acute care experience with exposure to ICU patient management
- Ability to manage patients independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in trauma care is highly preferred
Important Note: This position is not suitable for new graduates. While internal candidates who are new graduates may be considered for interviews, the level of autonomy required on night shifts makes experience essential.
There may be potential opportunities for additional coverage shifts at Southfield Providence Hospital as needed.
