Full Job Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dedicated mental health team. Under the supervision of the Director of Advanced Practice Providers, you will provide onsite psychiatric care, including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning. This role requires close collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct onsite psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions within the PA scope of practice.
- Prescribe and adjust medications while monitoring patient response and adherence.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, making referrals as needed.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond to urgent and emergent psychiatric concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and therapists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in administrative duties, including reviewing lab results, managing medication refills, and completing required documentation.
- Attend scheduled supervision meetings and seek physician consultation when appropriate.
- Provide consultation and support to other clinics when applicable.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and colleagues.

- Active PA license and DEA number in CA
- Experience in mental health or psychiatry preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
- Must be available to work onsite
