Schedule/Clinic hours: Permanent Full Time: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm No Weekends or On-Call requirement!
Position Overview:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with or at risk for breast cancer.
- This role encompasses clinical evaluation, perioperative management, patient education
- Collaborate with breast surgeon to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, as well as assist with procedures which may include first assisting.
- Recognizes and evaluates situations which call for immediate attention of the supervising surgeon or attending physician
- Orders therapy treatments, diagnostic laboratory and radiological tests/procedures, and therapeutic diets as necessary
- Assess patient perioperatively, customize perioperative and discharge plans.
- Consults with patients in the office for cancer surveillance.
Required Experience:
- Master’s Degree/ certified PA-C or Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 3 years of APP experience in Oncology Surgery experience
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in breast surgery with appropriate procedural competencies: punch biopsies and ultrasound utilization
- DEA within 2 months of hire
- ACLS
- BLS
- ONS certification, preferred
- AOCNP, preferred
