Full Job Description
Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our team in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to veterans who have served our country.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Provide assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral.
- Record/document health appraisal information, clinical assessments, treatment decision, plan of care, ongoing management and therapeutic outcomes, order medications, diagnostic test and referral consultations where needed for every patient encounter.
- Establishing professional working relationship with clinical service providers within the medical center, Outpatient Clinics (OPCs), and the Community Base Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
- Providing telephone consultation; screening consults for appropriate and timely care prior to scheduling; and communicating with inpatient multidisciplinary team members, such as pharmacy, dietary, IT, lab, other specialists/providers.
- Consulting with the physician where appropriate.
Essential Job Requirements:

- Proof of US Citizenship is required to work on this contract.
- Education/Certifications:

- Master of Science in Physician Assistant.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Board-Certified Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS/ACLS certificate.
