Amoskeag Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and progressive, nonprofit primary healthcare organization that celebrated its 30th year in 2023! Our team of healthcare professionals positively impacts the health, well-being and quality of life for those we serve providing comprehensive, integrated, affordable healthcare and education to patients. We utilize a team-based model including embedded Behavioral Health Clinicians as well as Case Managers, Care Coordinators and Community Health Workers.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides comprehensive, family-oriented, outpatient care for clients throughout the life cycle, including health examinations and treatment of medical conditions to include follow-up on problems detected within the confines of Amoskeag Health’s objectives and policies.
Education: Masters Degree and current New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license. BLS Certification Required.
Experience: One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care to medically indigent families preferred.
Compensation: The starting pay rate for this position is $55.50 per hour and can increase depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive family-oriented, outpatient care for clients throughout the life cycle, including health examinations, treatment of medical conditions and education.
- Make appropriate referrals to both internal disciplines of Amoskeag Health and/or external agencies for additional services required.
- Provide care to clients with acute illness, therefore, Nurse Practitioners’ schedule will allow for clients to be seen on a same day basis as necessary.
- Assist with the development of clinical policies/protocols for the clients at various ages of the life cycle as needed.
- Provide individual and group health education to clients and families.
- Provide consultation to nurses who triage client telephone calls and walk-ins. Refer clients for specialty services.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in clients’ electronic medical records of clients’ contacts, case planning, and plan of care.

Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time NPP: Amoskeag Health is looking for a primary care NP or a PA for 8+ months in 2025 starting in March or April providing primary care coverage to several provider panels due to multiple sequential leaves of absence. Potential for full-time permanent employment at year’s end. Prior primary care experience at a Federally Qualified Health Center preferred.
