Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Urgent Care
Location: Monsey, NY Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Compensation: $80 – $90 per hour
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a high-volume urgent care facility in Monsey, NY , seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. This urgent care center provides a full range of walk-in medical services , including standard urgent care visits such as sick visits, minor injuries, and infections, as well as procedures like suturing . The provider must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities , with competitive hourly compensation and potential for long-term career growth .
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide urgent and routine care to patients with acute and minor illnesses
- Perform suturing, wound care, incision & drainage, splinting, and minor procedures as needed
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests , including X-rays and lab work, to develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and coordinate follow-up care as needed
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and medication management
Facility Hours & Scheduling:
- Monday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 11:45 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM – 7:45 PM
- Saturday: 5:00 PM – 11:45 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 11:45 PM
Scheduling is flexible , with full-time and part-time shifts available based on candidate preference and facility needs.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of New York
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or high-volume primary care experience preferred
- Proficiency in suturing is required
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy urgent care setting while maintaining high standards of care
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Compensation & Benefits:
- $80 – $85 per hour, with up to $90 per hour for highly experienced candidates
