Job Summary
The NP/PA is responsible for overseeing day-to-day clinical operations to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of clinical services. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality patient care.
This role is vital in delivering medical and aesthetic services within a med spa setting. It involves performing various cosmetic procedures, evaluating patients, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of treatments. The NP/PA should have a strong medical background, expertise in aesthetic procedures, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to medical spa staff.
- Implement clinical protocols and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulations.
Patient Care:
- Conduct patient consultations, ensuring a positive and informative experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with medical practitioners to develop personalized treatment plans.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
- Ensure the med spa operates in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records.
Quality Assurance:
- Address and resolve patient care or service delivery concerns promptly.
- Continuously assess and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration with Medical Professionals:
- Work closely with licensed medical practitioners to ensure cohesive care.
- Facilitate communication between medical and non-medical staff.
- Assist in the development and introduction of new treatment offerings.
Education and Training:
- Organize and deliver ongoing education and training for clinical staff.
- Keep the team informed about the latest advancements in aesthetics and wellness.
Patient Evaluation and Consultation:
- Conduct thorough consultations to assess medical history, goals, and suitability for procedures.
- Perform physical exams and order diagnostic tests when necessary.
- Educate patients about treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Cosmetic Procedures:
- Perform aesthetic treatments, including injectables (Botox, dermal fillers), Morpheus8, IPL, microneedling, PRP, and other non-surgical procedures.
- Ensure procedures are conducted safely and in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient outcomes and provide follow-up care as needed.
Medical Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Accurately document medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in EHR systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure proper billing and documentation.
Patient Care and Education:
- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure instructions, including recovery guidelines and skincare advice.
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Serve as a resource for ongoing patient education on aesthetics and wellness.
Collaborative Teamwork:
- Work closely with the supervising physician, medical staff, and administrative teams to support clinic operations.
- Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, and continuing education activities.
- Foster a positive, professional work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Required Education and Experience:
- Current, valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California.
- A minimum of two years of experience in medical aesthetics or dermatology preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of med spa services, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

Working Conditions
- Work in the Company’s office located in Newport Beach, California.
- Must work in office: Monday – Friday (some Saturday’s), based on an 8-hour workday.
- Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, evening, and some weekends.
