Full Job Description

We are a Solo Concierge Medicine Practice of 32 years. Our recent PA has been with us a wonderful 15 years & Nurse Practitioner 3 years. They have had to move & go full time. I’m seeking replacement. This is one of the best PA or NP positions in town; especially for someone looking for approximately half time (20-28 hours per week). Our practice is very low patient volume & very high standard of excellent and thorough care. As a Concierge Practice we have time with our patients, go home professionally satisfied & not burned out. WE NO LONGER TAKE INSURANCE so fee tickets, documentation & coding MUCH SIMPLER

This is not an elitist VIP office but one of a solo Physician of caring for many patients & families; the same patients almost 30 years as well as new young families. We consider this our practice with a Physician & part time PA/NP. The Concierge fee is very affordable.

We are looking for a responsible PA or NP to be an integral part of the practice. This would be a long term career position. We need someone to help facilitate patient care with the ability to work independent at times. You would practice medicine the way you were trained with a schedule that allows you to do that. We do the usual preventative medicine, disease management, & evaluation and treatment of acute and challenging cases. Our office is small and the collegiality with the Physician is unrivaled and valued. Currently we manage patients from age 15 to 96. You would deal with a diverse set of patients offering them care and encouragement & they will get to know you very well and trust you. This is an opportunity to be part of a really great team practicing medicine correctly in a pleasant work environment and taking a proactive approach to avoid burnout for yourself and the physician.

Responsibilities

  • See patients on your own both (with the Physician in the office but also off site). As a typical Primary Care PA or NP you will have patient appointments & will diagnose and treat. (prescribe appropriate prescriptions, perform procedures, order tests & do call backs. )
  • Do some triage of urgent patients’ needs; to be seen with us routine, asap or need an ED visit. This is in concert with a solid front office staff who screen such calls.
  • Have a balance of delegation of paperwork, calls, services, & patient needs to front office staff.
  • Have solid & very available physician to work with on any problems or discrepancies that might arise
  • Become adept at our user friendly EMR
  • Provide customer service outside the ability of a regular practice
  • Coordinate care with specialists when needed
  • Perform annual wellness visits on our female patients
  • Perform minor procedures (suturing small wounds, biopsies etc.)
  • Order appropriate lab tests, radiology, etc
  • Embrace being the “in office” travel medicine provider
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion with our clients

Skills/Requirements

  • Work EXPERIENCE as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care
