Job Title: Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Miami Gardens, FL
Annual Rate: $115,000 – $150,000/yr
Shift: 5x8s – 40hrs – Days
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team in Miami Gardens, FL. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, treating a variety of acute and non-emergent conditions. This role requires strong clinical decision-making skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams
- Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions such as infections, minor injuries, fractures, and respiratory illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and lab work
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision and drainage
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Certification: Board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Florida PA license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience: Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
- Skills:
- Proficiency in performing minor procedures
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
- Comfortable using EMR systems
