Full Job Description

A prominent Healthcare Facility is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dedicated Family Medicine team. The Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) will provide direct patient care across a wide range of clinical conditions, from preventive health services to chronic disease management. In this role, the PA will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and patient-focused individual with strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages. Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions, including but not limited to respiratory infections, hypertension, diabetes, and musculoskeletal injuries. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and provide patient education on health maintenance, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention. Order, interpret, and follow up on lab tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures. Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care for patients. Provide counseling and support for patients regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Assist in the management of chronic disease programs and promote overall wellness. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR). Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical guidelines regarding patient care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement in patient care processes. Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current, active Physician Assistant license in New York. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current CPR certification. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in family medicine or primary care. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
