Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Primary Care Gateway MOB3; P-T 40 hrs./pay

Deaconess Clinic is seeking a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care department at Gateway MOB3. This is a salaried position that will work 20 hours/week. Candidates should be licensed in the State of Indiana and certified by the ANCC/AANP as a Nurse Practitioner or certified by the NCCPA as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Plans/coordinates patient care.
• Obtains histories and performs physical examinations.
• Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic health conditions.
• Orders, conducts, and interprets diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.

• Assists department with inbasket responsibilities.

• Prescribes or recommends pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications in accordance with practicing state’s Codes/Regulations, State Controlled Substance Registries, and supervisory agreements.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, biopsies, etc. in accordance with training, scope of practice and collaborative and supervisory agreement requirements.
