Full Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Advanced Practical Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant who would like to join a growing urology practice in Port Saint Lucie. This position is for clinical office-based services. The candidate is responsible for providing direct medical care to patients, assisting physician with procedures, maintaining accurate and current patient records on the electronic health record. Ability to order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and ultrasound as per scope of practitioner’s license. May prescribe medication as per scope of practitioner’s license
Job responsibilities include:
- Experience with a urology practice required
- Perform patient assessments and provide care to patients in both the clinic and hospital setting
- Educate and evaluate patients treatment plans
- Strong administrative skills a must
- Coordinate patient care as a triage resource; strong administrative skills a must
- Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
- Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Deliver quality care
- Complete patient follow-ups to include diagnosing and prescribing medications
- Complete CMG’s
- Complete cystoscopies under supervision
- Perform ultrasounds of bladder, kidney, etc.
- Procedures as allowed under state license
- Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical and chronic conditions
Required qualifications:
- License/Certification: State License appropriate for degree required
- Education: High School or equivalent, Undergraduate and post graduate education as required for licensure.
- Malpractice Insurance, if applicable
